Our mission is to advocate and promote the quality, safety and wholesomeness of the North American food supply through the application of science and technology.
The BCFT is a professional organization operated by volunteers from the food industry who work in all areas of food processing, manufacturing, research & product development, sales, quality control / quality assurance, analytical services, human resources, management and production. The organization gladly accepts participants from its membership to serve on the board of executives. Volunteers are needed and treated well.
The BCFT shares professional ties with the Packaging Association of Canada, BC Food Protection Association, and Food Innovation Centre of BC, amongst others. The BCFT is an active member with representation on the BC Food Safety Stakeholders Group.
